From the time the Sun first exhibits a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) to a few days later when the solar wind carries those charged particles to Earth is always a time of excitement and anticipation. The Northern Lights are hard to predict and you really have to chase them. Sometimes they don’t show up at all, and at others you get surprised by a massive display when they weren’t in the forecast. The rarity and elusive native of the Aurora Borealis makes it one of my favourite photographic subjects and this is a small collection of the few times I have been blessed with the opportunity to experience them.
