Cover Photo Feature: Horsehead & Flame Nebula on the RASC Journal

I’m excited to share a personal milestone—my image of the Horsehead and Flame Nebulae has been featured on the cover of the June 2025 issue of the Journal of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (JRASC)!

This image was a labour of love, captured from my Kitsilano Observatory in Vancouver. The goal was to highlight both the iconic silhouette of the Horsehead Nebula and the intricate structure and colour of the surrounding Flame Nebula, revealing the hidden textures of this beautiful star-forming region in Orion.

Being featured on the cover of the RASC Journal feels especially meaningful because the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada has long been a cornerstone for amateur and professional astronomers alike. For over a century, they’ve been fostering community, education, and outreach in astronomy across Canada.

If you’re passionate about the night sky, I highly recommend checking them out. Membership comes with great benefits like access to observing resources, workshops, and, of course, a subscription to the Journal. You can learn more or join here: https://rasc.ca/join.

Thanks to everyone who’s followed my astrophotography journey. This kind of recognition fuels my drive to keep exploring the night sky, both scientifically and artistically.

Stay tuned, more cosmic projects are on the horizon!
